Hallo Humilix,

super deine Anleitung.

Hi Everyone.

First, sorry i dont speak German :(
I am Portuguese and i have a 4000/5i pumpe, pulling water from a rain reservoir.Pump wasn't starting after the winter ended. First the motor did not turn (just humm)then the flow sensor was not turning (pump turning off after some seconds)
So i open the pump, clean it, and now the pump works again....but...
I notice that the pressure is lower...not the same as it was last year. My garden sprinkles do not cover the complete grass area anymore.

Nothing was changed in the garden side (same pipes, same sprinkles etc etc), so i am sure its the pump problem.
What can cause pressure drop?
Do i have a air leak in the inlet side?(i dont see any leaks, where to look?)
Can i adjust the water pressure in the pressure sensor?

Please any advise is welkome

Kind regards
G.

Thank you Bohrbrunnen

Looking forward to get some help.
I would say that i lost 0.5bar pressure. If i can get 1bar plus of pressure, everything should be ok again.

My grass is screaming for water...

regards
G.

HI G
welcome to our forum.

I think it´s a leak at the suction side. Do you have some pictures from connection suction hose ---->pump?

Hi Plunschmeister

Thank you for the warm welcome.

I will take some pictures when i get back home and post them here.

Suction side may be indeed a source of problems. I couldnt get a plastic connection to the pump at the time, just like this (http://www.gardena.com/de/bewasserung/p ... k-25-mm-1/) so i am using a brass conncetor with a large pipe (http://www.sanitrofa.pt/v2/rega.php)...but i may be getting trouble there.
I put some teflon, and a clamp at the time, but i was never sure it was not sucking air at same time.

Moin Goahead,
I put some teflon, and a clamp at the time, but i was never sure it was not sucking air at same time.
 You need a vacuum sealed connection.
Other probable causes:

Suction filter on suction pipe is partially or entirely exposed.
Suction filter or backflow preventer clogged.

In the pump integrated filter and back-flow valve are clean?

As promised.

And a video, where you can ear the pump working. I remenber that the pump had a "smother sound" then the atual one.

I think it sounds like air bubles are forming inside the suction filter. Do you agree?
Pump filter is clean.

This is the suction filter i have...its around 6-7 meters deep into water tank, and its also clean:
